Turkish security forces neutralize a suspect in an anti-ISIS operation in Istanbul

The teams of the Counter-Terrorism Branch Directorate of the Istanbul Security Directorate, in coordination with the Intelligence Branch Directorate, carried out an operation against the armed terrorist organization ISIS, according to the “Haberler” website.

Meanwhile, an operation was carried out in the Sultanbeyli area with the aim of arresting B.J. (21) Who was found to be linked to ISIS and was planning a terrorist attack in Türkiye.

During the operation, the suspect opened fire, and the police returned fire. He was neutralized in the clash that occurred.

It was reported that one citizen was also injured during the accident, and the site indicated that the investigation into the accident is still ongoing.

The statement issued by Istanbul Province stated: “In the operations carried out by the Directorate of the Anti-Terrorism Branch of the Istanbul Security Directorate in coordination with the Directorate of the Intelligence Branch, an operation was carried out in Sultanbeyli with the aim of arresting the person named Berkan C. (21), who was estimated to be linked to the armed terrorist organization ISIS and planning a terrorist attack in our country.
