[Reporter Ni Wanjun/Report from Taipei] The first dragon-elephant battle in the history of secondary vocational schools will be held today. In the first game, Weiquan Dragons sent out this season’s ace foreign investment player Jiang Welding to face the CITIC Brothers, who started the winning Cavaliers. The Dragons are expected to be played by Gu Nippon in the second game tomorrow. Having experienced the experience of being the manager of Messi Strontium, he said about the huge crowd of fans of the visiting team in the Dome, "I am used to it. In the Japan Dome before, the venue was bigger than ours, and there were many opponent fans, but I would not focus on those on the pitcher's mound."

Messi joined the Unified Lions last year under the name "Messes". He started 14 games in the first half of the season and recorded 6 wins and 3 losses with an ERA of 2.57. He was drafted by the Korean Professional Training Heroes mid-season and did not compete in the playoffs with the Lions. This year he returned to the secondary school and changed his robes. He started 17 games this season and recorded 10 wins and 3 losses with an ERA of 1.79. He also had a stable record of 2 wins and 1 loss with an ERA of 2.08 against his brothers. More importantly, he has accumulated rich experience in competitions during his time with the Nippon Giants. He started 7 games in the 2019 climax series against Hanshin and won without a score. In the same year, he also surrendered 6 games against SoftBank in the Japan Series with only 1 hit and no score.

When asked about his most memorable postseason game today, Massey chose the 2019 showdown with the SoftBank Hawks without hesitation, because that year he won the final round of the climax series against Hanshin, and then entered the Japan Series to compete with SoftBank. Unfortunately, he did not win the championship in the end. "Although I shot pretty well, it was a pity that I was swept in the end."

The Dragons have won the first half of the season this year and are the first team to advance to the Taiwanese Championships this year. Strontium Messi certainly hopes to help the team win the championship. "There is no guarantee in baseball that something will happen, but we are all prepared and will play well."
