A man is arrested in Palma for stabbing his partner, who is in serious condition

The Local Police of Palma and the National Police have arrested a 61-year-old man for allegedly stabbing his 57-year-old partner at his home, who had to be admitted to the ICU of the Son Espases Hospital.

The attack occurred this Friday around 9:45 p.m. on Arxiduc Lluís Salvador street in Palma, near the bullring, when the man himself called the emergency services to tell what he had done, according to the newspaper 'Última Hora' and police and IbSalut sources have confirmed to Europa Press.

The first to arrive at the house was a patrol from the Palma Local Police who provided initial assistance to the wound, which had a stab wound to the abdomen. Later, health services arrived and managed to stabilize the woman and then transfer her to the hospital.

The man was arrested and the Family and Women Care Unit (UFAM) of the National Police has taken charge of the investigation to clarify the facts.
