Lavrov explained Germany's attempts to join the peace process as a desire to "keep up with the train"

By joining the peace process in Ukraine, Germany is trying to keep up with the train. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, RIA Novosti reports.

“It’s hard for me to say what Germany is trying to achieve. I think one of the explanations is the desire to keep up with the train,” the foreign minister emphasized.

Earlier, the press secretary of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, said that the meeting of the foreign ministers of Russia and Germany was a positive fact, but it would be a mistake to talk about changes in relations between the two countries.
