The closing ceremony of "Overseas Chinese Leading the Bay Area·2026 Guangzhou Federation of Overseas Chinese Overseas Young Overseas Chinese Leaders Training Activities" was held in Guangzhou on the evening of the 4th. 43 young overseas Chinese leaders from 35 countries and regions spent a five-day training trip.

They walked into the Sun Yat-sen University History Museum, Guangzhou Museum, and Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall to touch the historical context of the thousand-year-old commercial city; they went deep into the Haixinsha Full Space Intelligent Experience Center, Guangzhou International Bio-Island, Pazhou Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Experience Promotion and Empowerment Center and other frontier positions to immersively experience the vigorous vitality of the Greater Bay Area construction.

They also drank a cup of tea together at the two "Guangzhou Tea Houses" at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall and the Guangzhou Art Museum, and became close friends in the aroma of tea.

Zhou Huichen, a young overseas Chinese leader born in the 2000s and director of the Chinese Overseas Chinese General Chamber of Commerce in Seoul, South Korea, said that the five days along the way, observing the cultural context, exploring science and innovation, and gathering the hearts of overseas Chinese, were really fruitful and full of feelings.

The relevant person in charge of the Guangzhou Federation of Overseas Chinese said that this year marks the 2240th anniversary of the founding of Guangzhou and the 1800th anniversary of its name. “The city’s unmoving site and continuous cultural heritage cannot be separated from the watchfulness of generations of overseas Chinese.
