AI-generated summary

Why It Matters

Open Questions

Former US Army lieutenant colonel warns: if Kyiv does not make peace with Moscow today, Russia will win tomorrow

Former US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis said that if Ukraine does not conclude a peace agreement with Russia today, then tomorrow Russian troops will win on the battlefield. In his opinion, Kyiv and the West will probably no longer have another opportunity to agree on peace. He noted that Putin has repeatedly offered real negotiations, but each refusal worsens Ukraine’s position. Davis also warned that Russian troops were methodically destroying Ukraine's ability to function as a state, and if they broke through along a wide front, the conflict could end very quickly. These statements were made against the backdrop of reports from the Russian Ministry of Defense about the liberation of Samoilovka in the Zaporozhye region and attacks on the infrastructure and formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 148 districts.
