Terrible! Samsung Display, a subsidiary of South Korea's Samsung Group, which mainly produces LCD TV panels, was shocked to hear that at 11:30 p.m. on the 28th, a baby's body was found in a wastewater collection tank at the plant in Asan City, South Chungcheong Province.

According to the Dong-A Ilbo, the Asan Police Department and Fire Department stated today (29th) that at the Green Center (Wastewater Treatment Plant) of the Samsung Display Factory located in Tangjeongmyeon, a factory employee saw an object suspected of being a baby's body while patrolling late on the night of the 28th and quickly called to report the matter.

After the ambulance crew rushed to the scene, they found the body of a male infant in the wastewater collection tank and immediately handed it over to the police for processing. The body was only 20 centimeters long and weighed 110 grams, which was far smaller than a normally born baby. It was unclear whether it was an aborted fetus.

The authorities will conduct an autopsy and DNA comparison in the hope of clarifying the cause of death and identity. It is understood that the wastewater treatment plant of Samsung Display Asan Park is also responsible for treating the domestic sewage of nearby residents.
