Former head of the DPS in Jedlanka accused of mobbing and abuse of employees

Izabela L. also has to pay PLN 2,000 each. PLN to the injured parties as compensation for the harm suffered.

The prosecutor's charges related to the period from September 2014 to May 2019.

According to the prosecutor's office, Izabela L. allegedly mentally abused 14 employees of the Social Welfare Home (DPS) in Jedlanka. As the head of DPS, she maliciously and persistently violated the employee rights of her subordinates. The prosecutor's findings showed that Izabela L. humiliated the employees and used words that were generally considered offensive. She was supposed to ridicule her subordinates, lower their self-esteem through constant negative comments or criticism, excessive control, gossip and dissemination of inappropriate information.

According to investigators, such behavior by the superior made her subordinates feel intimidated and afraid of being fired or transferred to a lower position.

DPS employees baked cakes for the first birthday of the boss's son

Another accusation concerned the abuse of powers in order to obtain financial benefits. It was about, among other things, for forcing DPS employees to organize the first birthday celebration of Izabela L.'s son and to perform activities for the private needs of their superior during working hours. It was, among others, preparing dishes, cakes, preparing decorations and invitations.

The indictment also states that the head of the DPS also allegedly instructed employees to provide residents with expired cold meats to eat.

The County Office terminated the contract with Izabela L.

The case came to light in 2019. Then, 28 employees of the Social Welfare Home in Jedlanka filed a complaint against Izabela L. to the district starosta in Radom. For this reason, her employment contract was terminated.

At that time, a notice was also submitted to the prosecutor's office, signed by several employees. In March 2022, the indictment was brought to court. The trial began in November 2023.
