Honored Artist of Russia Viktor Antonov died at the age of 79.

The cause of the artist's death was pneumonia.

MOSCOW, September 29 - RIA Novosti. The cause of death of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Viktor Antonov was pneumonia, the actor’s family told RIA Novosti.

Earlier, the Tomsk Drama Theater reported that Antonov died at the age of 79.

Viktor Antonov began his creative career at the Kazan Theater for Young Spectators. In 1976 he was invited to the Tomsk Drama. From 1981 to 1989, he played at the Gorky Academic Drama Theater in Tashkent, and then returned to Tomsk. In 1998, Antonov was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
