The police arrested a thief with a million-dollar loot after chasing a stolen Mercedes

It all started with a burglary in an underground garage in Poznań's Wilga district. Law enforcement officers, looking for the perpetrator, located a 46-year-old man. He was driving a Mercedes Vito. When the police tried to stop him, he barricaded himself in the car and did not respond to commands.

So the officers used force, and after searching the car, it quickly turned out that their suspicions were correct. The Mercedes was loaded with stolen goods - 136 pairs of shoes, almost 100 jackets, as well as footwear and clothing accessories from a famous Italian brand. The total value of the loot that was returned to its rightful owner was estimated at one million zlotys.

The 46-year-old had stolen them from an underground garage just moments earlier.

The vehicle itself was also stolen. In April this year he disappeared in Oborniki. To make its identification more difficult, license plates assigned to another car of the same brand were mounted on it.

But that's not all. The detained man had drugs on him. A blood test confirmed that he had taken amphetamines.
