Statements from US President Trump on Iran and the Strait of Hormuz

US President Trump made statements about the Iran agenda after the press conference he held in the Oval Office.

Trump answered "No" when asked whether the 60-day framework agreement with Iran, which expired today, would be extended.

When asked whether they would reach a final agreement with Iran, the US President said, "They want to make an agreement, but they will not make the kind of agreement that I deem necessary." he said.

Trump stated that they are not yet at the point he wants in terms of accepting the items that the USA deems necessary regarding Iran's nuclear program, and emphasized the message that "No matter what, Tehran cannot have a nuclear weapon."

Referring to his statement that they could hit Oman "if they come across them" regarding the Strait of Hormuz, Trump stated that this country is not a problem for them.

Asked whether he had run out of patience with Oman, Trump said: "No, but I don't think they're behaving very well, but we can deal with them very easily, just like we can on other issues." he replied.
