US President Trump and Chinese President Xi Strengthen Relations with Tea Party at the White House

US President Trump hosted his wife, Melania Trump, and Chinese President Xi and his wife, Peng Liyuan, at a tea party at the White House.

Expressing his great satisfaction with Xi's visit, Trump stated that they made extremely positive progress in the talks for both countries. "We really enjoyed the visit of these two wonderful people. We have made tremendous progress (in relations). We have made wonderful progress that is very positive for both countries," the US President said. he said.

Stating that they also discussed some concrete issues that would please American farmers, Trump emphasized that the visit was a very productive visit for both countries.

Chinese President Xi also expressed his satisfaction with Trump's "flawless" welcome at the White House.

"Everything was carried out with the utmost perfection, even every little detail was taken care of, and I am very grateful for that," Xi said. he said.

Xi, who likened Trump and himself to "two captains charting the course of the China-US relations ship", said, "When the President visited China in May, we agreed on the vision of establishing a constructive China-US relationship based on strategic stability. This time, we agreed to add a new dimension to this vision. In other words, we agreed that this relationship will be a constructive relationship based on strategic stability based on respect, justice and reciprocity." he said.

"The future of this relationship will be even brighter." Making his assessment, Xi stated that there will be an opportunity to meet with Trump at two more summits in the remaining part of 2026. While Trump stated that he would attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit to be held in China in November, Xi stated that he would meet with Trump again at the G-20 Summit to be held in Miami in December.
