Digital Media Security and Disinformation Offices Move by the Ministry of Justice

Making a statement on his social media account, Minister of Justice Gürlek said; We are establishing digital media security and counter-disinformation offices in courthouses. We make the fight against crime faster, more effective and more coordinated in the cyber homeland.

Directing our children and youth to crime, violence and abuse; We are strengthening our judicial capacity against digital content targeting our citizens' private lives, personal rights, life and property security. For this purpose, as the Ministry of Justice, we are establishing "Digital Environment Security and Combating Disinformation Offices" in our courthouses, with the letter we sent to the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office in 175 high criminal centers.

With the new structure, criminal content and activities that encourage crime in digital media will be closely monitored by specialized public prosecutors; The processes of identifying suspects, initiating necessary legal proceedings and intervening in unlawful content will be carried out faster. At the same time, inter-institutional coordination will be strengthened in the fight against criminal disinformation activities that deliberately mislead the public and disrupt social peace and public order.

Protecting our children and securing the rights of our citizens; We will continue our work determinedly with an effective understanding of justice that makes public order and the rule of law prevail in the digital field.
