Goodbye to wrestler Benjamin Satterley, known as Pac: he died at 40

Just two days ago he was in the ring fighting Andrade in "All Out", one of the main pay-per-view events. After 24 hours, Benjamin Satterley, better known by his current ring name of Pac, was found dead at the age of 40. The death of the English wrestler, born in 1986, was communicated by All Elite Wrestling, the federation with which he had been under contract since 2019. The causes of death have not been disclosed but the authorities are carrying out all the necessary investigations to ascertain them.

“Originally from Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and has continued to perform for wrestling organizations around the world, captivating fans with innovative aerial moves and incredible in-ring skills,” AEW said in a statement. He has held several AEW titles, and the organization said he participated in "some of the most memorable matches in AEW history." Before his collaboration with AEW, he also played in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre in Mexico.

Throughout his career he has had several alter egos, including Pac, Adrian Neville and "The Man Who Gravity Forgot." The latter nickname referred to a signature finishing move of his, in which he would spin 360 degrees from the top rope of the ring and land on his opponent.

WWE Hall of Fame member Paul Heyman described the news as a "truly terrible loss" and said he was an "amazing talent and an even better person." AEW president Tony Khan said Khan "embodied excellence" as a husband, friend and in his knowledge of wrestling, his skill and his "unparalleled athleticism." "Our country's greatest export. And greatest human being too," fellow British wrestler Will Ospreay wrote on X, sharing a photo of them together in the ring. "I'm in shock. It's heartbreaking," said AEW wrestler Evil Uno. "We have lost another great person, a noble soul, a true professional."
