Águas do Piauí carries out intervention in the Parnaíba River catchment system

The intervention will be necessary due to the reduction in the level of the Parnaíba River, which has reduced the depth at the current catchment point. The group responsible for capturing will be repositioned to a deeper area of ​​the river, according to Águas do Piauí.

After completion of the service, supply will gradually resume, depending on the recovery of the reservoirs. The lowest regions must be attended to first, followed by the highest areas. The forecast is for complete normalization around 3pm.

The company reported that water trucks will be available to meet emergency demands, with priority for hospitals, schools and other essential services.
