Huida, a major technology company, will be stationed in Beishike. Recently, Taipei Mayor Chiang Wanan and Democratic Progressive Party Taipei mayoral candidate Shen Boyang have expressed their opinions on Huida's plan to enter Beishike. Shilin Beitou District Municipal Councilor candidate Chen Yijie said that the two mayoral candidates talked about the general direction of industrial layout and urban governance level; but she was more concerned about whether the children and young people here could get development dividends when Huida truly settled on the doorstep of Shilin and Beitou.
Chen Yijie pointed out that Beishike will soon welcome iconic technology companies such as Huida to settle in, which is a unique advantage of Shilin Beitou. However, the success of a science and technology park cannot only be judged by how much output value is created and how many buildings are built, but also whether it allows the local next generation to find a place in their hometown.
She believes that transportation construction, power grid maintenance, and think tank review mechanisms are important, but if the education side does not keep up, there is likely to be a gap between "the children who settle in Shilin Beitou and the children who settle in Shilin Beitou."
Chen Yijie said that she advocates promoting the "Beishike AI Education Demonstration Zone", combining Beishike's scientific and technological resources, so that AI education can take root downwards, giving children the opportunity to contact and learn AI from the elementary and junior high school levels, and allowing teachers to obtain more resources and training, bring the latest technological applications into the classroom, and create an educational environment that integrates learning and application.
In addition, Chen Yijie also advocates promoting the development of "drone football" and cooperating with local primary and secondary schools in Shilin and Beitou so that this land can not only undertake the hardware construction of the technology industry, but also become the root of emerging technology sports, allowing children to have the opportunity to get hands-on with cross-field skills such as drones and program control from an early age, and cultivate the ability to face the AI era through education.
Chen Yijie pointed out that the key to whether young people can truly stay in Beishike and develop is whether the integration of industry and academia is in place. She advocated integrating the resources of Beishike Enterprises and local schools such as Soochow University, Taipei City University of Science and Technology, and National Taiwan Ocean University to promote construction-education cooperation, industry-university cooperation, and expand internship opportunities so that college students can be employed immediately after graduation without having to leave their hometowns to find jobs elsewhere.
Chen Yijie said that she is happy to see that the central government, the city government and the mayoral candidates of both parties are paying attention to the development of Beishike. However, as a city council candidate in Shilin Beitou, she would like to remind all walks of life that technology has no end and education is always the starting point. Only with manpower can there be industrial competitiveness. She will continue to pay attention to the progress of Beishike's related construction and also promises to make education and youth employment matching one of her core political views in the future.
