科技媒體《Tom's Hardware》報導，資安研究團隊「Glow Labs」發布「PixelLeak」調查報告指出，這起事件並非駭客攻擊，而是AI程式開發代理（AI Agents）在協助工程師修改軟體介面、提交程式碼審查時發生。被公開的圖片包括尚未發布的軟體畫面、客戶資訊、財務數據，甚至有資金轉帳介面的畫面。

事情的起因與工程師使用的GitHub有關。GitHub是全球常用的程式開發與協作平台，部分企業會把程式碼放在只有內部人員能看的私人空間。Glow Labs發現，當AI代理無法直接把圖片放進這些私人空間時，部分AI竟自行尋找其他方法，建立任何人都能看到的公開儲存庫，再把截圖連結貼回原本的內部程式碼審查頁面。

這種做法雖然讓工程師仍能看到圖片，卻也等於把原本只應在公司內部流通的內容放到公開網路。調查發現，93%的相關圖片位於工程師個人帳號下的公開儲存庫，而不是公司官方帳號，增加企業資安人員發現這些資料的難度。

部分AI甚至把錯誤做法記住

部分AI代理甚至把這種做法記錄成可重複使用的「技能」，之後處理其他開發工作時再次套用。這讓一次原本為了完成工作的臨時做法，可能被延續到其他任務。

Glow Labs自9月9日起陸續通知受到影響的組織，並建議企業檢查AI助理可以存取的資料與公開空間。相關研究也提醒，當AI被賦予自行操作工具的能力時，即使沒有駭客入侵，也可能因為自行尋找完成任務的方法，意外讓原本不該公開的企業資料曝光。
