President Lai Ching-te attended the Lawyers' Day dinner of the All-China Lawyers Association this evening. In his speech, he said that the CCP mistakenly applied United Nations Resolution 2758 and claimed that Taiwan is part of China. However, this resolution only addresses the issue of the CCP's representation in the United Nations and has nothing to do with Taiwan. He hopes that the National Lawyers Association will speak out for Taiwan at home and abroad: "Taiwan is a sovereign and independent country and does not belong to the People's Republic of China."

When Lai Ching-te attended the 79th Lawyers' Day Dinner of the All-China Lawyers Federation, he affirmed that lawyers are on the front line to defend social justice, speak out for disadvantaged groups, and make outstanding contributions to Taiwan's judicial diplomacy.

Lai Ching-te also said that Taiwan's economic development is at the stage of favorable timing, favorable location, and harmonious relationships. This year's economic growth is forecast to be 11.05%, and next year's economic growth rate is expected to be at least 6%. In order to ensure Taiwan's competitive advantage for the next generation, and even for a century, the government has launched the "Top Ten New AI Construction Projects" and is actively investing in the research and development of three key technologies, including silicon photonics, quantum technology, and robots. He hopes that the legal community can provide assistance in areas such as AI governance, digital human rights, and intellectual property rights.

President Lai pointed out that from the perspective of Liyun Datong, the government continues to implement social welfare, promotes long-term care 3.0, increases six major social welfare subsidies and other social investments. At present, the only thing left is "selecting the talented and capable". In every election, candidates with gang backgrounds and corruption crimes will appear. He hopes that all lawyers can stand up and stand for election to achieve the goal of selecting the talented and capable.
