Chen Duo, deputy director of the AIGC Special Committee of the Fujian Provincial Artificial Intelligence Association, said in an interview in Xiamen on the 6th that with the support of technologies such as picture style adaptation and multi-language one-click translation, the threshold for AI short dramas to go overseas is constantly lowering, and the small language market has become a new blue ocean.
Chen Duo is also the founder of AINext, a native company of AIGC, which is located in Xiamen Software Park. The team has been deeply involved in the AI film and television content field for many years, and has cooperated with overseas platforms to produce a series of AI short dramas and produced many "hits". He said that Xiamen's software information industry has a solid foundation and dozens of AI-related platforms are operating stably, providing fertile ground for enterprise development.
AI empowers thousands of industries and is moving towards a global presence in Xiamen. In July this year, Xiamen's artificial intelligence public service platform was officially launched, gathering more than 2,100 AI resources such as large models, computing power, and data sets to explore the deep integration model of "AI + enterprise services".
Walking into the Xiamen Artificial Intelligence Innovation Ecological Community located in the third phase of the Xiamen Software Park, AI consumption application scenarios such as AI supermarkets, AI consultation, and AI photo generation come into view. "AI+" industrial ecological cases and development results such as "AI+Ocean", "AI+Medical Health", "AI+Animation Games", etc. are presented in a concentrated manner, which is dizzying.
The community is an important part of the Fujian Province (Xiamen) Artificial Intelligence Industrial Park. Huang Yihang, a cadre of the Software Industry Department of the Xiamen Torch High-tech Zone Management Committee and a doctor of engineering, said that high-quality scenario application is the core advantage of the industrial park. Since this year, the industrial park has cultivated 4 provincial-level high-quality artificial intelligence enterprises, 6 provincial-level high-quality large-scale artificial intelligence models, and 23 high-quality artificial intelligence products.

Xiamen has deployed multiple AI empowerment platforms. In June this year, China's first "Volcano Engine Digital Content Innovation Laboratory" was launched in Siming District, Xiamen City. It provides "one-stop" AI empowerment services covering tool supply, technical support, talent training, supply and demand docking and resource guarantee for AI service providers and physical enterprises.
Tian Jie, deputy director of the Science and Technology and Industry Information Bureau of Siming District, said that Siming District is building a public service platform for digital content creation, which is linked to the laboratory, aiming to link the technical capabilities of the Volcano Engine to help enterprises achieve digital and intelligent transformation. Taking the textile, footwear and apparel industry, Fujian's dominant pillar industry, as an example, AI try-on allows consumers to intuitively preview the effect on the upper body, effectively reducing product return rates; when AI tools are applied to the marketing process, they can reduce costs and increase efficiency, and achieve precise push.
It is reported that there are currently 360 companies registered on the public service platform, of which small, medium and micro enterprises account for nearly 90%, mainly covering industries such as software information, intelligent manufacturing, AI short dramas and comics, and smart retail. Registered companies can call the Volcano Engine large model and the latest AIGC tools to achieve low-cost and high-efficiency creation.
Chen Duo believes that the imagination space of AI is far from being fully opened. He expects that in the future, AI film and television content will expand from short videos to medium-length dramas and even theater-level film and television works. "AI is good at quickly producing content, but script creation and aesthetic judgment still rely on people. The value of professional talents such as screenwriters is irreplaceable.
