According to the latest news from Iran's Tasnim News Agency on September 8, the Iranian Army Air Defense Force issued a hard-core battle report: it successfully tracked and shot down a US military MQ-1 Predator drone over the Strait of Hormuz.

According to details disclosed by Iranian media, the US military MQ-1 Predator drone was trying to sneak into the sky above Bandar Abbas on the southeastern coast of Iran to monitor the Strait of Hormuz.
