AIK won 6-2 against Visby/Roma after their fifth straight victory

After the loss against Modo in the premiere, the Stockholmers have responded with four straight victories. During the Wednesday evening, the fifth also came, that after they drove over the newcomers Visby/Roma.

The first period started evenly. AIK had more play in Visby/Roma's zone, but the Gotlanders managed to find several opportunities in the turns of play.

At the end of what appeared to be a goalless period, Daniel Ljungman, during a box play, came free against Visby/Roma's Filip Lindblad. The finish was stopped by the goal frame, but two turns later Ljungman got his revenge.

Then he came together with Scott Pooley in a two against one against Visbybacken Lucas Ramberg. A late pass from Pooley allowed Ljungman to put the puck into the roof of the net without problem.

AIK were not ready there. With 44 seconds left in the first period, Edvin Isén picked off a clearance at the blue line and was able to take a few cuts towards the goal. The first shot was blocked, but he was later able to capitalize on his own rebound.

AIK started the second period as strongly as they ended the first. After a minute and a half, they extended the lead to 3–0 after a shot signed by Oskar Magnusson.

The momentum then swung when AIK incurred two straight expulsions. The newcomers came close but came up empty-handed from their power play. Although they managed to keep the command, the next goal would also be scored by the Stockholmers.

The duo of Pooley and Ljungman struck again, after Pooley drove the puck behind Lindblad's goal and then passed it behind the back to Ljungman who was in front of an open goal.

Two minutes into the third and final period, AIK extended its lead to 5–0. That after Martin Schreiber passed the puck from his own zone to Oliver Johansson, who was able to push it up into the far crossbar.

The away team, on the other hand, would not leave Stockholm without making their mark on the score sheet. With just over ten minutes left to play in the period, John Dahlström caught a bouncing puck behind the goal, and managed to put it in before AIK's goalkeeper Jhonas Enroth could get there.

AIK and Oscar Nord responded with a 6–1 goal. Isén played until Nord, who was able to put the puck into the open goal.

Immediately after, Visby/Roma scored their second goal of the match. Juho Liuksiala scored his third goal of the season after a pass from Wille Bärehag.
