Alexander Zverev scored the decisive point for the European team in the Laver Cup held at the O2 in London this weekend. The 29-year-old German asserted his status as favorite against the American Learner Tien (7-6(3) and 6-3) and tipped the balance in favor of his team.

Previously, the doubles team formed by Flavio Cobolli and Jakub Mensik won the first duel of the day, against Alex de Miñaur and Taulor Fritz (7-5 ​​and 6-3). In this way, there was no need for Carlos Alcaraz or Rafa Jódar to intervene, who in theory were going to compete this Sunday in the last two rounds of the competition.
