Drug and prostitution operation in Ankara: 16 arrests

As a result of the work carried out by the Ankara Provincial Police Department's Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch Directorate under the coordination of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 21 suspects were identified, for whom evidence was obtained that they had committed the crimes of "drug trafficking, facilitating the use of drugs or stimulants, drug or stimulant use and prostitution".

In this context, the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office issued a detention order for 21 suspects, and 18 of the 21 suspects were detained.

18 suspects who were detained were referred to the Criminal Court of Peace with a request for arrest. While 16 of the suspects referred with a request for arrest were arrested, a judicial control measure was decided against 2 suspects.

It was reported that the investigation into two suspects who are fugitives and one suspect who was found to be in prison is being carried out in a multifaceted and meticulous manner.
