The fire, which started in the forest area in Antalya's Aksu and Kepez districts yesterday evening and spread over a wide area, is being intervened by air and land.
According to the news in AA, the fire, which started in the forest area near Karaöz District of Aksu district, spread under the influence of the wind and spread to the area in Kepez district.
Due to the fire, the Northern Ring Road and the section of the Antalya-Isparta highway from Antalya center to the Northern Ring Road were closed to traffic as a precaution. The road was opened to traffic in a controlled manner in the morning.
The teams intervened in the fire, which continued to affect a large area around the Karaöz, Hatipler, Yeşilkaraman, Kızıllı and Çamlıca neighborhoods, with water pumps and work machines throughout the night.
The fire reached all the way to the Antalya-Isparta highway, and the flames were prevented from crossing the highway with the intensive intervention of the teams.
Fighting the fire from the air began at the first light of the morning. In addition to 5 planes and more than 10 helicopters, 110 water trucks and more than 600 personnel are participating in the work. Teams are continuing their efforts to control the fire.
254 HOUSES WERE EVACUATED IN TWO DISTRICTS
Due to the fire, 40 households in Yeşilkaraman District in Aksu district, 10 households in Karaöz District, 29 households and 18 barns in Yumuk District, and 175 households in Çamlıca District in Kepez district were evacuated.
Work on animal evacuation continues in the region. AFAD mobile coordination truck also reached the fire area.
Konya, Isparta and Burdur Provincial AFAD Directorates, teams from Konya, Karaman and Isparta Municipalities, and Isparta Regional Directorate of Forestry teams also participated in the forest fire intervention efforts.
On the other hand, mobile base station vehicles were deployed in the region due to outages in mobile communication networks.

The forest area damaged by the fire, where extinguishing efforts continue in two districts, was viewed from the air with a drone by the AA team.
In the images, it was seen that the green forest area turned into black and gray tones.
8 PEOPLE ARE AFFECTED BY THE FIRE
8 citizens were affected by the fire. 2 people were referred to the hospital due to complaints of leg injuries, and 6 people received outpatient treatment.
Kepez Municipality teams assigned 3 trucks and 6 personnel to evacuate the animals.
Turkish Red Crescent Antalya teams also worked in the region with 3 catering vehicles, 3 pioneer vehicles, 9 personnel and 5 volunteers. The teams distributed 3 thousand bottles of water, ayran for 500 people, 2 thousand 500 sodas, 750 sandwiches, tea and soup for 1000 people, croissants for 600 people and cakes for 3 thousand people.
It was reported by CK Akdeniz Elektrik that a total of 2 thousand 329 subscribers were affected by the power outage in the region.
It was stated that in the regions where the fire was extinguished, damage assessment studies will be started by the teams of the Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and damage assessment studies will be started by the Revenue Administration teams.
Citizens in rural areas also support extinguishing efforts in the fire area by filling spraying machines with water.
Volunteers and forest workers from surrounding provinces are responding to the flames in the forest area. Teams are working hard to prevent the flames from reaching residential areas.
