Anthony Garotinho proposes to clear the Sisreg queue in RJ with a model inspired by São Paulo

Anthony Garotinho, Republican candidate for the government of RJ, proposed clearing the Sisreg queue — the system for regulating appointment slots, procedures and surgeries — with a São Paulo model.

The former governor participated this morning in a hearing promoted by the newspapers O Globo, Extra and Valor Econômico and by CBN radio. He also promised to reduce robberies by retaking 20 communities dominated by Comando Vermelho.

"São Paulo created the Paulista Price Table. The SUS table is not attractive for affiliated hospitals. You pay R$0.47 for a glucose test and R$1,000 for a birth. You don't attract the private sector to agreements", he explained.

"São Paulo created a complementary table and agreed. It cleared the queue. It was called Corujão, the name of the project. It was created by Doria, everyone knows that. And it still works very well today", he continued.

"We're going to clear [the Sisreg queue]. It depends on the agreement. Will I impose an agreement on the hospital? Let's look at the areas. Which elective surgeries are most delayed? Cataracts, hernias and, if I'm not mistaken, spine. Let's start with these", he detailed.
