There are company owners among them... Illegal betting operation in 16 provinces: Many detentions!

Within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Gebze Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding illegal betting and gambling activities; It was determined that the suspects mediated money transfers related to various illegal betting and gambling sites through their personal and company accounts, and that the transactions carried out through these accounts were incompatible with the financial profiles of the account holders.

As a result of the financial analysis and investigations carried out by Kocaeli Provincial Police Department's Cyber ​​Crimes Branch Directorate, a detention order was issued for 36 suspects who were found to be the owners of a total of 11 companies without any partnership ties.

SIMULTANEOUS OPERATIONS IN 16 PROVINCES

34 suspects were detained in the simultaneous operation carried out in 16 provinces, centered in Kocaeli. It was determined that 1 suspect was in prison and 1 suspect was abroad.

A total of 6 billion 235 million 761 thousand 905 lira money movement was detected in the suspects' accounts in 722 thousand 235 transactions between 2023 and 2025. During the searches carried out at the suspects' addresses, their digital materials were seized.
