The incident took place yesterday at around 17.30 on Arnavutköy Hadımköy District Ürgüplü Street. According to the information obtained, an argument broke out between Mehmet Taştan, the driver of the labor shuttle with plate number 34 LAR 691, and Özcan K., the driver of the service minibus with plate number 34 LDE 633, allegedly due to a fuel dispute.

As the argument escalated, Özcan K. took out the gun he had with him and opened fire on Mehmet Taştan, who was in his vehicle. While Taştan, who was hit by 4 bullets in his body, was seriously injured, the suspect Özcan K. fled the scene with his vehicle.

Following the incident, surrounding security cameras were examined. Security camera footage that recorded the moment of the murder was revealed. In the footage, it is seen that after an argument between two service drivers, the suspect took out his gun and opened fire. Along with the gunshots, the moments when other people at the scene run away from the area in panic are also reflected on the camera.

HE DIED HIS LIFE IN THE HOSPITAL

Upon notice, health and many police teams were dispatched to the scene. Mehmet Taştan, who was seriously injured, was taken to Hadımköy Doctor Niyazi Kurtulmuş Hospital after the first intervention of the medical teams. Despite all the interventions made here, Taştan could not be saved and lost his life.

YUNUS POLICE CAUGHT THE ESCAPE SUSPECT

Dolphin police from the Arnavutköy District Police Department, who started an operation to catch Özcan K., who escaped after the incident, stopped the vehicle driven by the suspect on Haraççı-Hadımköy Yolu Street. It was learned that Özcan K., who was caught and detained, said that he threw the gun he used in the incident on the side of the road.
