Air defense contract worth 1 billion 8.5 million euros between ASELSAN and SSB

Additional contracts worth 1 billion 8 million 500 thousand euros were signed between ASELSAN and the Presidency of Defense Industries within the scope of air defense systems.

ASELSAN announced a new air defense contract in its statement to the Public Disclosure Platform on October 1, 2026. Additional contracts worth a total of 1 billion 8 million 500 thousand euros were signed between the company and the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) within the scope of ongoing long-range air defense systems mass production projects.

In the KAP statement, it was stated that the new business relationship will start as of October 1, 2026 and that the contract will make a positive contribution to ASELSAN's turnover. However, the company did not share details about how many systems the contract covered or the delivery schedule.

Therefore, it is not possible at this stage to directly associate the new agreement with the name of a specific air defense system. The official information disclosed is that the contract is an addition to the ongoing mass production projects of long-range air defense systems.

The contract volume allocated to air defense in 2026 increased to 4.49 billion euros

Today's agreement comes on top of other major contracts signed by ASELSAN in the field of air defense through 2026.

When the four separate contracts reflected in the public are evaluated together, the total contract amount announced by ASELSAN for the projects within the scope of air defense systems and Steel Dome in 2026 reaches 4 billion 493 million 210 thousand 12.38 euros.

This total includes the contracts of 780 million euros, 1.47 billion euros and today's 1.0085 billion euros signed with the SSB, as well as the air defense subcomponents supply contract of 1 billion 234 million 210 thousand euros signed between ASELSAN and ROKETSAN on September 23.

It should be underlined that the figure of 4.49 billion euros here does not mean a single project or a single order. The amount represents the total of contracts signed on different dates in 2026 and with different scopes.

An agreement worth 1.23 billion euros was signed with ROKETSAN.

Another important leg of ASELSAN's contract traffic in the field of air defense was carried out with ROKETSAN.

On September 23, a contract covering the supply of subcomponents for air defense systems worth 1 billion 234 million 210 thousand euros was signed between ASELSAN and ROKETSAN. In the KAP notification, ROKETSAN was included as a customer and ASELSAN was included as a supplier.

However, in the contract in question, it was not explained in detail which subcomponents for which air defense system would be supplied. Therefore, there is not enough publicly available data to directly map the entire contract to the production quantity of SİPER, HİSAR, or a specific system.
