Blood-chilling detail in the murder of a 16-year-old boy in Ataşehir: His cousin is in custody

6 suspects were detained in the investigation carried out into the stabbing death of 16-year-old Afghan national Y.A. in the Ataşehir district of Istanbul.

The incident took place around 23:00 on November 2 in İçerenköy District. Y.A. was stabbed to death in a fight between paper collectors.

During the investigation of the police teams, it was determined that there was a fight between the parties about 20 days ago due to paper collection and that hostility developed after this incident.

Public Security Branch Directorate Homicide Bureau teams launched a large-scale study to capture the suspects.

The teams examined a total of 142 hours of security camera footage and determined the escape route of the suspects from the scene.

The pursuit, which was carried out through camera footage, extended to the recycling area in Esenyurt.

During the operation held here, 6 suspects of Afghan nationality were detained.

It was learned that the suspects who were questioned at the Homicide Bureau confessed their crimes.
