The Building Demolished Within the Scope of Urban Transformation in Aydın Kuşadası Collapsed

A 5-storey building evacuated within the scope of urban transformation in Aydın's Kuşadası district collapsed during demolition work. The incident was recorded with a mobile phone camera.

The incident took place around 16:00 on Ege Mahallesi Turgut Özal Boulevard.

Work has started to demolish the 5-storey building, which was decided to be renovated within the scope of the urban transformation project. While the beams and columns on the lower floor of the building were broken with the work machine, the building suddenly collapsed after the impact made with the concrete cutting shears. As the dust rising with the collapse of the building spread over a wide area, the surrounding people experienced panic. The incident, in which there was no loss of life or injury, was recorded with a mobile phone camera.
