Azul states that global GPS instability affects the operation of the Embraer E2 fleet

In a statement released earlier in the evening, Azul stated that a "global instability in the GPS system" was "impacting the operation of the Embraer E2 fleet."

"As a precaution, the company is adopting operational measures that may result in adjustments to the network and the schedules of some flights", follows the note (see the full text at the end of this text).

One of the affected passengers told TV Globo that she had a ticket to board in Brasília heading to Confins Airport, in Belo Horizonte, at 7:20 pm. At the scheduled takeoff time, the company had not even started boarding.

According to this passenger's report, Azul employees on the ground stated that some flights would be reallocated to Latam – but that it would not be possible to do this for all passengers and destinations.

g1 asked Inframerica for an overview of affected flights in Brasília, but did not receive a response until the publication of this report.

At around 8:30 pm, hundreds of passengers were queuing up at the Azul service counters at Brasília Airport. There was still no information whether flights would resume on the same night, or rescheduled for the next few days.
