People's Party Chairman Huang Guochang went to Hemei Town, Changhua County today (28th) to attend the inauguration meeting of the party's county council candidate Su Zhixian's campaign headquarters. Qiu Jianfu, the non-party candidate for Changhua County Mayor, also attended the platform. In response to the recent incident of Changhua County Councilor Zhang Xueru of the Kuomintang Party attending the "Operation to Save Taiwan" event in Changhua and also supporting KMT county magistrate candidate Wei Pingzheng, Huang Guochang pointed out that he was originally invited to attend, but because his schedule could not accommodate it, Zhang Xueru came to attend on his behalf. In principle, the People's Party and the Kuomintang have a consensus on local cooperation. Elections are inherently about "more friends and fewer enemies." The People's Party has not proposed a candidate for Changhua County Magistrate, and will then make every effort to win seats for county councilors and local public offices.

Huang Guochang emphasized that the area where the People's Party won the highest number of party votes in Changhua County in the past was Hemei Town. Therefore, this time 23-year-old Su Zhixian returned to his hometown to run for county council. This is a very important indicator for the People's Party, because currently the People's Party has two seats in Changhua County, Zhang Xueru and Wu Weida. If there is one more seat, it can form a caucus in the county assembly, so this seat will be key.

Lin Gengren, mayor of Hemei Town from the Kuomintang, also supported Su Zhixian. Lin Gengren said that he came to attend the founding meeting of the campaign headquarters because he received an invitation letter.
