However, Mohsen Rezaei, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said on the 6th that Tehran authorities plan to declare a "no area" in the waters outside the Strait of Hormuz, and all ships trying to pass through the "no area" will be included in the sanctions list.

According to foreign media reports, regarding the delimitation of the "no zone", Rezai said that the area will start from the US Navy blockade and extend to the Gulf area. All ships entering this "no zone" will be included in the sanctions list. But Rezai did not reveal many details about the plan. In addition, Rezai also claimed that rumors that Iran is experiencing domestic shortages of basic supplies due to sanctions and economic blockade are false news.

However, the economic sanctions imposed by the United States on Iran have already had a certain impact on Iran's domestic economy. Iran's parliament speaker and chief negotiator Qalibaf issued a statement on state-owned television on the 6th, mentioning that in addition to the military front, the main battle Iran is facing now is the battle for production and people's livelihood.

Qalibaf said sharp currency fluctuations, inflation, unemployment and market management are currently the main challenges, adding: "Iranians can tolerate hardship, but cannot tolerate mismanagement or inaction and expect quick action from the government."
