Moscow and its Arabian partners consider it necessary to resolve contradictions through political and diplomatic means while observing international law.

Russia and Saudi Arabia are in favor of finding compromises to implement the Islamabad memorandum between the United States and Iran.

MOSCOW, September 8 - RIA Novosti. Russia regrets that the countries of the Arabian Peninsula were unwillingly drawn into the military confrontation between the United States and Israel with Iran, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

“We in Russia regret that the countries of the Arabian Peninsula were unwillingly drawn into the military confrontation between the United States, Israel and Iran,” Lavrov said at a press conference following negotiations with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.

The minister added that Moscow, together with its Arabian partners, considers it necessary to resolve emerging contradictions exclusively by political and diplomatic means in strict compliance with the norms of international law and taking into account the agreements already reached, the implementation of which has so far been hampered.

According to Lavrov, we are talking primarily about the Islamabad memorandum signed on June 17 between the United States and Iran: Russia and Saudi Arabia stand for finding reasonable compromises in order to implement this agreement.
