Victim of Incheon stabbing attack brought to hospital due to cardiac arrest, still unable to regain consciousness

It was found that the victim, who was taken to the hospital in cardiac arrest due to a knife attack that occurred at a large commercial facility in Incheon on the afternoon of the 13th, has not yet regained consciousness.

According to the police and Gachon University Gil Hospital, A, a woman in her 20s, suffered cardiac arrest after being stabbed with a weapon by B (59) and was taken to Gil Hospital and underwent emergency surgery.

Mr. A escaped cardiac arrest through emergency surgery and is currently hospitalized in the intensive care unit. However, it was confirmed that he had not yet regained consciousness.

Gil Hospital's medical staff plans to conduct additional tests soon after examining Mr. A's progress.

Mr. A's father met with reporters at the emergency hospital of Gachon University Gil Hospital this afternoon and poured out strong words, saying, "I want to see that XX's face," before leaving, saying, "I'm not in a hurry right now, so let's talk later."

Mr. A's mother, who arrived at the hospital first, burst into tears upon hearing the sudden news about her daughter.

As a result of Mr. B's crime, seven men and women in their 20s to 50s were also transported to the hospital by the 119 ambulance and are being treated. They are in a condition that is not life-threatening.

The husband of Mr. C, a woman in her 50s who suffered injuries to her arm and shoulder, said, "My wife had some business to do and went to a commercial facility and saw the damage. After parking on the 3rd floor, I was going down the escalator when Mr. B came up from the opposite direction and stabbed my wife."

It was determined that Mr. B, who was holding a weapon in both hands, took the elevator from the first floor of the building to the second floor, committed the crime, and then took the escalator to the third floor, swinging the weapon at an unspecified number of people.

The police plan to apply for an arrest warrant for Mr. B on the 14th after investigating his motive for the crime.
