The recent differences between the government and the opposition regarding the supplementary budget, domestically produced drones and other budget bills have aroused heated discussions from all walks of life. In view of this, the Taiwan People's Front and the Taiwan United Citizens Group for Economic Democracy will hold a rally and parade on the 29th of this month "Don't let the Legislative Yuan session go to waste, and citizens sound the alarm after get off work" to oppose Blue and White's continued paralysis of state institutions. In response, the police in the jurisdiction also announced relevant traffic control measures today, and called on people participating in the event to remain peaceful and rational and abide by the instructions of the police on site.

The Alliance for Economic Democracy pointed out that this event will make five major demands, namely that the 2026 supplementary budget cannot be delayed; domestically produced drones cannot wait; the increase in social welfare should not be delayed; the paralysis of state agencies should be stopped; the Control Yuan, the Human Rights Commission, the Communications Commission, the Personal Information Commission, and the Public Information Review Commission should resume operations, and the Constitutional Tribunal, the Election Commission, and the Fair Commission should fill up their quotas.

The First Branch of Zhongzheng Branch pointed out that this event has been approved to be held from 8:00 to 22:00 on the 29th. The relevant routes include Section 1 of Jinan Road, Qingdao East Road, Linsen South Road and other sections. In order to maintain traffic order and safety, the police have planned traffic diversion control services, as explained below.

1. Meeting place:

From 14:00 on September 29, all lanes of Jinan Road (Zhongshan South Road [excluding] to Zhenjiang Street [excluding]) to the west and the inner lane to the east will be restricted for vehicle traffic. It is expected that vehicle traffic will not be opened until the event is cleared at 23:00 that day. The control and opening will be earlier or delayed depending on the traffic conditions.

2. Parade route (departs at 19:15):

Jinan Road Section 1 (depart after gathering) → (turn right) the slow lane on the east side of Zhongshan South Road → (turn right) Qingdao East Road → (turn right) Linsen South Road → (turn right) Jinan Road Section 1 → (go straight) in front of the Qunxian Building of the Legislative Yuan (disbanded after the rally).

The First Branch of the Zhongzheng Branch will flexibly control the rally site and the sections along the parade, and expand the surrounding traffic control area depending on the situation and the number of people on the scene. Drivers are urged to listen to traffic reports at any time, avoid traffic control sections, and change routes in advance to avoid increasing traffic delays on the roads around the control area and delaying driving time.
