Urban transformation message from Minister Kurum: "Earthquake does not wait, transformation should not wait either"

Urban transformation efforts continue throughout Türkiye against earthquake risk. Murat Kurum, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, shared the transformation data.

"TRANSFORMATION HAS BEEN COMPLETED IN 2 MILLION 378 THOUSAND INDEPENDENT SECTIONS"

According to the data, as of 2012, 2 million 761 thousand independent sections throughout Türkiye were included in the scope of transformation, and the transformation of 2 million 378 thousand was completed.

Minister Kurum, in his post on his social media account, said, "Earthquake cannot wait, neither should transformation." He called for participation in urban transformation.

The institution said, "Come without wasting time, let's realize the transformation together." he said. Minister Kurum said that one in every two urban transformations was carried out in Istanbul.

"WORKS CONTINUE ON 291 THOUSAND INDEPENDENT UNITS IN ISTANBUL"

In Istanbul, 1 million 298 thousand independent sections were included in the scope of transformation, and 1 million 7 thousand transformations were completed. Work continues in 291 thousand independent sections.

According to the data, 544 thousand 564 independent sections have been included in the scope of transformation so far with the Half of It is on Us Campaign in Istanbul, while 117 thousand 914 have been completed.
