Minister Yumaklı announced: 116 thousand 815 inspections were carried out on food businesses in October

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı stated that they carried out 116 thousand 815 inspections on food businesses in Türkiye last month and imposed a fine of 201.2 million liras on those who were found to be non-compliant.

Yumaklı shared a post about the issue on his NSosyal account.

Pointing out that citizens' access to safe food is a red line, Yumaklı stated that they will never give way to those who endanger the health of consumers, and that they will always stand by tradesmen and producers who do their job honestly.

Giving information about the inspection results, Yumaklı said, "We secured the food and health of our citizens with the 116 thousand 815 food inspections we carried out across the country in October. We imposed an administrative fine of 201.2 million liras on businesses where non-compliance was detected as a result of the inspections, and filed a criminal complaint against 29 businesses." made his assessment.
