Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation against the 'Uglies' organization

Within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Organized Crimes Investigation Bureau against the structures known to the public as 'New Generation Armed Criminal Organizations', an investigation was launched against the armed criminal organization known as 'Uglies'. Within the scope of the investigation, it was determined that threatening messages were sent to the owners of a diamond company on behalf of the organization from foreign phone numbers for the purpose of plunder. It was determined that the members of the organization came to the hotel where the complainant M.D was staying and tried to make the hotel staff feel the frightening power of the organization by giving their personal information. At the same time, it was determined that threatening messages were sent to the phone used by complainant M.D. from foreign numbers.

ARREST REQUEST FOR 5 SUSPECTS

As a result of the work carried out by the teams of the Istanbul Provincial Police Department's Organized Crime Branch Directorate, under the coordination of the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 5 suspects who were determined to have taken part in the action were caught and taken into custody. During the searches carried out at the suspects' addresses, a large amount of drugs and sensitive scales were seized.

During the examination of the confiscated digital materials, organizational correspondence regarding threats and looting was found. The 5 suspects, whose procedures at the police station were completed, were referred to the criminal judgeship of peace with a request for their arrest.
