Pregnant mother and her 3-year-old daughter died in the Balıkesir-Bursa accident, and her baby could not be saved.

The accident occurred at around 16.30 yesterday at the Çavuşköy intersection between Balıkesir's Bandırma district and Bursa's Karacabey district. The car driven by Merve Turan, going from Karacabey to Bandırma, went out of control, crossed the median and crossed into the opposite direction. Meanwhile, the car collided with a truck traveling from Bandırma to Karacabey and was dragged under the vehicle.

Upon notice, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident. According to the news of DHA, it was determined that the driver of the car, Merve Turan, and her daughter Ahsen Turan (3), who were found to be pregnant during the check-up by the medical teams, died.

THE BABY IN THE WOMB COULD NOT BE SAVED EITHER

The lifeless bodies of the mother and daughter were taken to the morgue of Bandırma Training and Research Hospital. Merve Turan, who was informed that she was about 2 weeks away from giving birth, was taken into surgery to save the baby in her womb. It was reported that despite all the efforts of the doctors, the baby could not be saved.

Police teams launched a large-scale investigation into the accident in which the mother and her 2 children died.

While it was learned that the stillborn baby in the accident was a boy, it was stated that the bodies of the mother and her 2 children will be buried in the neighborhood cemetery after the noon prayer in Yeşilçomlu District on Thursday, September 24 (today).
