Collapse in Başakşehir: 1 worker lost his life, fire in the factory in Tuzla

The retaining wall collapsed during construction in Başakşehir. 1 out of 2 workers was rescued in the landslide. It was learned that the other worker, Ferdi Yağşı (25), who was under the rubble, lost his life.

The incident took place in the construction area in Şamlar District. A collapse occurred while the workers were working on the retaining wall. Two workers named Tolga Yağşı and Ferdi Yağşı were buried under the ground. Upon notice, fire brigades, search and rescue teams and medical teams were dispatched to the region. In the first study, Tolga Yağşı (23) was removed from the ground and sent to the hospital. The teams were informed that Ferdi Yağşı had passed away.

4 DETENTION

Following the incident, the construction site manager, digger operator, contractor and occupational health and safety expert were detained.
