Crash between trucks leaves one dead in Dutra in Lorena

According to the concessionaire that manages the highway, the accident happened at around 2:10 am, at km 52 of the road towards Rio de Janeiro. One of the trucks hit the back of the other. It is not yet known what caused the crash.

Rescue teams were called and had to remove two victims who were trapped in the wreckage. They were rescued and taken to the hospital. There is no information about their health status.

A third victim died at the scene before being rescued. The person's age and sex were not reported.

Because of the accident, traffic on the stretch was blocked until 4am. The track was fully reopened around 5am.

According to the concessionaire, there is no record of slowdowns at the location.
