The Russian Ambassador said that South Korea refrains from direct supplies of weapons to Ukraine

The Republic of Korea, despite pressure from Kyiv and Western countries, continues to refrain from direct supplies of weapons to Ukraine. This was stated by the Russian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Georgy Zinoviev, Izvestia reports.

“The Republic of Korea, despite pressure from Kyiv and Western “like-minded” people, refrains from supplying weapons to Ukraine,” the diplomat said.

Zinoviev characterized this position as responsible, noting that it is based both on the provisions of the legislation of the Republic of Korea and on the understanding of the importance of maintaining the basis of relations with Russia.

At the same time, the diplomat drew attention to the significant increase in the volume of exports of products of the South Korean military-industrial complex to NATO countries, primarily located on the eastern flank of the alliance. According to him, the increase in arms supplies occurs against the backdrop of statements by high-ranking Western politicians and military personnel about preparations for war with Russia.
