As the central area of Weihai, there are 36 ethnic groups in Huancui District. The district makes precise efforts in the spatial dimension to create an integrated pattern of living, learning and having fun together. Among them, the district has optimized the urban and rural residential layout, built 40 ethnic unity practice bases such as ethnic cultural corridors and red pomegranate classrooms, and deployed 1,049 refined service points to benefit the people, guiding people of all ethnic groups to live in staggered neighborhoods and watch their neighborhoods.
Huancui District has deeply cultivated the interconnected scene on campus, created a reading corner for ethnic unity, and a characteristic cultural and sports space. In the cultural dimension, Huancui District has carefully created distinctive brands and deeply integrated intangible cultural heritage representative projects such as Jiaodong cakes, paper-cutting, and tin inlays with the cultural tourism industry. It has received a total of more than 30,000 people of all ethnic groups, promoting the cultural integration and symbiosis of various ethnic groups.
In addition, Huancui District has established a regular publicity and education mechanism, formulated and issued the "Weihai Huancui District Key Work Plan for Building Awareness of the Chinese National Community", and incorporated relevant content into the training system for grassroots party workers, grid members, and village "two committees". Huancui District focuses on “mutual embeddedness” in industrial collaboration. In the economic dimension, the district has deeply cultivated the integrated development of local agriculture and tourism, created an "Internet + agriculture, rural areas and rural areas" digital marketing model, expanded sales channels through live broadcasts of agricultural products, driven a 20% year-on-year increase in sales of agricultural products, and effectively improved the livelihood and well-being of people of all ethnic groups.

In the social dimension, Huancui District has fully integrated ethnic affairs into the "grid + whistleblowing and reporting" governance system, implemented a working mechanism of "community ordering, departments receiving orders, and quick settlement", relying on the grid community to achieve multi-faceted linkage of ethnic affairs, immediate handling of complaints, and a dense shared network built by people of all ethnic groups.
Huancui District innovates the grassroots co-governance model, gathers the power of the community, property management, and public representatives, implements governance vehicles such as alley stewards, residents' proposals, and integrity councils, and effectively solves more than 100 practical issues related to people's livelihood, such as the renewal of cultural and sports facilities and youth custody. The local government also carries out ethnic and religious legal propaganda on a regular basis.
