MOSCOW, September 25 – RIA Novosti. Former comedian and winner of the comedy show Alexey Reva was appointed Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, the military department announced this on its Telegram channel.

“We continue to strengthen the team of the Ministry of Defense. The government has appointed Major Alexey Reva as Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for digital development, digital transformation and digitalization,” the publication says.

Reva will be responsible for the development of digital systems and services for the defense forces and the introduction of technologies that simplify processes in the army and help military personnel achieve their missions.

Alexey Reva is from Poltava. Previously, he studied at Poltava Polytechnic University, was engaged in scientific activities and worked in the field of humor. In 2015, Reva became the winner of the “Make a Comedian Laugh” show. Later he was an actor and screenwriter for the humorous studio "Mamahokhotala". After the start of the conflict with Russia, Reva, along with his twin brother, ended up serving in the TCC, and later worked in the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine and the IT sector of the Ministry of Defense, where he created software for recording military personnel
