The black-whites, who competed in the EuroLeague for the first time in their history in the 2012-2013 season, will appear again in Europe's number 1 organization at the club level after 13 seasons.
Beşiktaş will duke it out with the Spanish team Valencia Basket tomorrow in the first week of the Euroleague.
JOINED EUROLEAGUE WITH A SPECIAL INVITATION
Beşiktaş Basketball Team will take part in the EuroLeague in the 2026-2027 season with a one-year "wild card" (special invitation).
The black-white team was invited to the organization with a "wild card" after the French team Cosea JL Bourg decided to continue in the BKT European Cup, considering the financial and organizational difficulties of taking part in the Europa League.
Beşiktaş lost 2-0 to the French team Cosea JL Bourg in the EuroCup final last season and finished the organization second.
BIG CHANGE IN THE SQUAD
The black-and-white basketball team, under the management of Serbian head coach Dusan Alimpijevic, entered the new season with a significant change in the squad.
While Ante Zizic, Conor Morgan, Anthony Brown, Berk Uğurlu, Devon Dotson and Yağız Aksu from last season remained in the Beşiktaş squad, Brynton Lemar, Ismael Kamagate, Jonah Mathews, Matt Thomas, Sertaç Şanlı, Vitto Brown, Yiğit Arslan, Canberk Kuş, Emir Adıgüzel and Ahmet Ata Özbek parted ways.

Alimpijevic made his EuroLeague debut at the beginning of his career, when he was coaching his country's Red Star team.
Alimpijevic, who gained Europa League experience in his early 30s, had 11 wins and 19 defeats with the Serbian team in the 2017-2018 season.
The experienced head coach aims to prove himself with his team in the Europa League arena, where he returned with Beşiktaş.
HE WILL PLAY HIS MATCHES IN BGM
Beşiktaş will play all Basketball Super League and Euroleague competitions at Turkcell Basketball Development Center (BGM) this season.
