Beşiktaş Club President Serdal Adalı answered questions about the agenda in Anadolu Agency's (AA) Sports Desk program.
Noting that the promise he made to the black-and-white community, "You will never see Beşiktaş like this again", has started to come true, Adalı said, "Our dream Beşiktaş has started. After 5-6 years, I started to see children walking around the streets wearing Beşiktaş jerseys. This made me incredibly happy. Hopefully, it will be much better. The structuring process is almost over." he said.
Stating that Beşiktaş has gone through a serious restructuring process this season, Adalı noted that the team's performance at the start of the season exceeded his expectations.
"WE HAVE NO THOUGHT OTHER THAN THE CHAMPIONSHIP, BUT..."
Stating that they have no other goal than the championship, Adalı also stated that they need patience and continued as follows:
"Beşiktaş cannot have any other idea than the championship. We have a football team that has almost no example in the Turkish leagues and has almost no example in Europe. A football team has emerged. We have sent nearly 30 players in 1.5 years. Naturally, the football players who replaced them have an adaptation process, a process of playing with each other, learning each other, and we have a brand new coach. Of course, the expectation is high. We have no other idea than the championship, but this football team is determined to be a team. He needs time. I thank all of them for this start, especially in the league with the European cups. It was an incredible result for me. I was approaching it a little more cautiously. I was wondering if we could get through six or seven weeks without any problems. Our coach also had a big impact on this performance.
Stating that they were able to realize their plans during the transfer period, Adalı said, "We realized 90 percent of the program we made in the summer transfer season. We transferred 90-95 percent of the players we wanted. It was a success when the technical team and the players suitable for the squad planning came.
