"We had an election idea. Our friends are working on the statute. One of the articles to be changed in the charter was to reduce the term of office to 2 years. We were thinking of making a change of 3-5 articles, but after talking to the chairman of the council, we thought of making a more comprehensive change. That is why it did not come true. There are friends in the board of directors who are tired, there are friends who want to help from outside. That's why we decided to hold an election to re-establish a management."

"Beşiktaş has no other thought than the championship. We changed almost our entire football team in this process, which is unprecedented in the Turkish leagues and in a way that is unprecedented in Europe. We changed nearly 30 players. Naturally, there is an adaptation period for these. I was approaching it a little more cautiously, while I was thinking about whether we could get through 6-7 weeks without any accidents or trouble, we made an incredible start."
