United Arab Emirates suspends all trade and economic activities with Iran

According to the news of the official news agency of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), WAM, based on the Director of Strategic Communications of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Afra al-Hamili, all commercial, economic activities and financial transactions with Iran have been suspended until further notice.

Detailed information about the decision has not been shared yet.

UAE ANNOUNCED THAT TWO MISSILES FROM IRAN WERE SHOWED DOWN

The statement came after the UAE Ministry of Defense announced that 2 ballistic missiles detected to come from Iran targeted maritime navigation and the missiles fell into the sea.

Tension in the Middle East escalated after the USA and Israel launched joint attacks on Iran, and Tehran, in response, carried out attacks on regional countries, including the UAE, where US elements are present.

Iran and the USA signed a memorandum of understanding under the mediation of Pakistan in mid-June, aiming to end the war and reach a permanent peace agreement.

However, the talks were later interrupted due to ongoing disagreements regarding the terms of the agreement and navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, which is critical for global energy exports.

Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejected the statement of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) that a missile was launched towards the country from Iranian territory.

IRAN REJECTS UAE'S MISSILE STATEMENT

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Bekayi published a written statement on the issue.

Rejecting the UAE's statement that a missile was launched towards the country from Iranian territory, Bekayi demanded that "all parties in the region refrain from making unfounded accusations against Iran due to the actions of the United States and Israel against regional peace and security, and especially their history of numerous 'false flag' operations."

Bekayi evaluated that the accusations made by the UAE against Iran "contrary to the principle of good neighborliness and harm the ongoing efforts to strengthen trust between the countries of the region and prevent the escalation of insecurity in the region."

The UAE Ministry of Defense reported yesterday that air defense systems detected 2 ballistic missiles coming from Iran towards the country. In its later statement, the Ministry of Defense announced that "2 ballistic missiles detected to come from Iran targeted maritime traffic and fell into the sea."
