UN announced that the number of Palestinians displaced in the West Bank exceeded 6,400

UN Secretary General Spokesperson Stephane Dujarric informed journalists about the developments in the Middle East at the daily press conference.

Sharing statistical information about Palestinians who had to leave their places of residence due to Israelis usurping West Bank lands, Dujarric said, "Our colleagues working in the field of humanitarian aid there report that more than 6,400 Palestinians have been displaced due to settler violence in 130 settlements since 2023." he said.

"This has led to the complete evacuation of 48 Palestinian settlements since 2023, a dozen of which have occurred this year alone," Dujarric said. he said.

Dujarric also underlined that more than 2,500 of these displaced people had to leave their homes this year alone, and emphasized that more than half of them were children.

Sharing the reports of organizations operating jointly with the UN in the region, Dujarric noted that the situation of the Palestinian people has become even more difficult and their humanitarian needs have deepened due to the repeated attacks and bans of the Israelis who usurped Palestinian lands.

Since October 2023, when the Israeli army launched its attack on the Gaza Strip, there has been an increase in raids and attacks by Israeli soldiers and Israelis who usurped Palestinian lands in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
